I’ve been playing Phantom Abyss since it first entered early access and I will not be stopping anytime soon now it’s officially launched. The adrenaline-fuelled gameplay gives me so much joy every time I do a run, whether I’m playing it casually or seriously trying to challenge myself.

Should you mis-time a jump, Long Whip can save you in a pinch by grappling those platforms that would otherwise be just barely out-of-reach.
Phantom Abyss is a game where players dive into a series of procedurally-generated temples where they have to reach the end and secure the golden idol. Players will be faced with a wide variety of classic traps along Phantom Abyss Gameplay the way, as well as facing off against the Guardian of the temple who will try to hinder the players progress.
What really adds to this is how Phantom Abyss does its levels: Once someone wins a particular delve they get the treasure at the bottom and that's it—nobody else can ever play or win it again.

Sad to say, From the Abyss is an extremely unremarkable game through-and-through. From the visual style and plot to the game mechanics, it's all been done before in some form or another. The good news in all of this is the game still offers a good time for fans of the genre.
Phantom Abyss first dropped towards our eyes at the back end of 2022. At that time it was all about enjoying the Early Access / Game Preview vibes, much like the phenom that is Palworld is doing now. Phantom Abyss requested you to run a gauntlet though, as fast as you could. We descended into Phantom Abyss and quite enjoyed what was on offer.
